THE MOST DELICIOUS "MARILLENKNÖDEL" IN 7 STEPS

austria offers manymany great culinary treasures you won't be able to live witout once you tried them. one of them being marillenknödel = apricot dumplings! my grandma's recipe for the fluffiest marillenknödel that will just melt in your mouth

1)
get some wonderfully ripe bright-orange apricots from the tree in your garden:
 (make sure you have enough)
...rumour has it you can also get apricots at the supermarket, well dunno ...

2)
mix 1000g curd (aka leaning tower of curd), 500g flour, 250g butter and 125 sugar
yeah, dig into it an knead wellll

3)
time for some nonsense

 4)
push out the stone using the end of a cooking spoon and replace with cube sugar

 5)
roll out small pieces of the dough really thin

6) 
and carefully wrap around the apricots, 

7) 
cook in boiling water for about 10 minutes, roll in roasted bread crumbs mixed with sugar
et voila!!!
